About

breastfeeding help by a midwife

Hi, my name is Emma and I live in Manchester with my husband and baby girl.

I have been a midwife for eight years and am currently working at an NHS hospital in Manchester.

I trained in Northampton gaining my Bsc in Midwifery and then moved down to Surrey where I worked in a continuity team in the NHS for pregnant and postnatal women with complex health issues working between labour ward and community. I also worked privately in Surrey as a breastfeeding counsellor before moving up to Manchester to be closer to family to predominantly work on the postnatal ward. I have always had a passion for all things infant feeding and completed an extra qualification in 2022 as a Breastfeeding Counsellor with Antenatal Training UK.

After being pregnant and having a baby myself, I realised how little there was out there in terms of extra feeding support in Manchester. Which is when Milk Manchester was born!

I can’t wait to meet you and your families.
